Welcome to !

Welcome to and what a business the hair growth business is ! is dedicated to the quack hair loss treatments and snake oils touted for baldness in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries !

Here you will find some good quality scans of advertisements for all kinds of hair loss treatments that were extremely popular in times past !

In addition to the hair loss advertisements, you will find some related images and plates of hair curiosities and oddities. In the late 19th and early 20th Centuries circuses and side shows were a popular form of entertainment. Many of these side shows included people with unsual hair and skin features. Ladies with very long hair were often a key component of these travelling shows along with bearded ladies and people with hypertrichosis - often described as wolfmen ! Galleries dedicated to these people show their advertising trade cards and circus advertisements !

The images in the galleries are of a good enough quality for printing on a standard home computer printer. The web site owners keep originals of all the graphics you see and high resolution scans can be made available for print for a small fee. To the best of our knowledge the copyright on all the images on this web site has expired.
